Who We Are

Who We Are

VALUES AND MISSION

We are here to serve. More importantly, we are here to fight for you. We will go into the battle together, side by side. We are created to come alongside you, teach you, strengthen you, and help you heal and recover. We will help you fight and win your battles: spiritually, emotionally, and physically. You will learn to pick up the tools and use them yourself. We will empower you to take dominion over your life and break free of the strongholds or forms of bondage that have kept you from living the life you were created for.

We believe that change is possible. We believe everyone can live a life of purpose. We provide structure, systems, and processes to ensure results.

OUR PROGRAM IS NOT FOR EVERYONE

Throttle & Thrive is specifically created and designed for men and exclusively serves Warriors: Law Enforcement, Veterans, First Responders. We focus on masculinity and men’s identity. We look closely at how men are created, built, and designed to function. We empower men to be men. We hope to open a women’s facility in the future. For now, Throttle & Thrive is only for men. We believe recovery is best facilitated in a single-sex environment.

Core Values

  • Truth
  • Integrity
  • Discipline
  • Freedom
  • Passion
  • Purpose

Who We Are

APPROACH

We believe that healing and recovery are available to everyone. It’s a matter of desire and willingness. How badly do you want help? How desperate are you? Are you willing to go to any length to recover? The bottom is when you stop digging. Are you ready to put down the shovel? More importantly, what will happen if you keep digging?

We are a no nonsense facility. We are not babysitters and this is not a luxury vacation. There are plenty of other treatment centers who will provide you a luxury-style retreat. We aren’t that type of place.

We will not enable you. We will not co-sign your bullshit. We will not join your circus.

We will get you into action. Yes, you will have to do difficult things. Some will be difficult physically, some will be difficult emotionally and others difficult spiritually. We will teach you, push you and challenge you on all levels.

We do not sit around all day and talk about feelings. We just aren’t that type of place.

We focus heavily on the 12 steps of alcoholics anonymous which are the same 12 steps as narcotics anonymous. During treatment, you’ll attend several meetings and begin working on the 12 steps. This is only the beginning of the journey. We will teach you the discipline needed for the long haul. Yes, we know that discipline is an unpopular word. We aren’t here to be popular. Discipline is a foundational principle that enables success. It’s universal across the board.

Physical wellness is also a top priority. In addition to vigorous physical workouts for those who can handle it, we will run lab work to see if you have any imbalances or deficiencies and create a custom plan to get you to optimal health. Check out our food page for more info about food being medicine.

Spirituality. We are here to help you understand the things that have not made sense before. You may be very surprised at what you find if you keep an open mind.

Foundations:

  • The 12 Steps
  • Emotional & Physical Wellness
  • Spirituality

Willingness and willpower are not the same things. Willpower is based on self-reliance. We do not support self-reliance. We are human. We all fail. We support reliance on a higher power, something greater than ourselves. We have found that when we surrender, our lives get easier and our burdens get lighter. When we are willing to surrender, things begin to change.

Who We Are

BELIEFS

We believe that humans are mind, body, soul, and spirit. We can’t separate one from the other. We take a holistic approach to care for everyone’s needs: spiritually, physically, and emotionally. We are a no-nonsense group. Be ready to face your fears, overcome your struggles and soar to new heights.

Willpower is not the issue. It never was the issue. We believe addicts have some of the strongest willpower of anyone. We believe in surrender. Our success in overcoming addiction began when we surrendered to a power greater than ourselves. We welcome all men: those who do not believe in any sort of god, those who believe in other gods, and those who believe there is no god.

We will get down and dirty. Once a client’s overall wellbeing has stabilized after detox and clarity of mind is present, the real fun begins. We train hard. You’ll be pushed physically to engage in intense exercise: cross-fit, trail running, weight lifting, and the like.

This is the adventure of a lifetime. Will you join us?

There is freedom!
